On 25th May 1963 the Organisation of African Unity was established, the precursor to the African Union (AU).
On this day, every year, all of us in Africa in unit pause to celebrate and shack off the the yolk of colonialism, and set the stage for our self- determination, peace and sovereignty.
Africa Day epitomizes a chance for development, growth and progress of the continent crafted and implemented by Africans.
Stemming from this courage, PAPU, was a creation of the then OAU – now the African Union, to spearhead and coordinate postal development in Africa.
At PAPU we cherish this day and hold it in high regard for its unifying role and expression of solidarity of All Africans.
We carry with pleasure the dedication of serving and linking a free African Community through Postal services.
Let us endeavor to drive the Postal Sector to contribute to the socio-economic development of our continent in fulfillment of the vision of our founding fathers and expectations of our citizens currently.
Let us all celebrate the unity, solidarity and love that this day brings to Africa
