Texts: Lamentation 3:37, Proverbs 21:30, Exodus 5:2, Isaiah 36:18–21, Daniel 3:15, 1 Samuel 17:8–11, Acts 12:21–23, 2 Chronicles 32:7-8.

Lamentations 3:37 (KJV) says: “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?”

Proverbs 21:30 (KJV): “There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.”

A missionary appeared in a demonic village to preach the gospel. And immediately he got there, he was confronted by the chief priest, who was popular for always confronting people who came to preach the gospel. He said to the missionary, “Look, I am going to display my power. You too, display your power. If you are not able to display your power, you cannot preach here.” And this demonic man brought out a grain of corn and put it in his palm. In the full glare of the preacher, this seed began to grow into a maize plant, and it grew taller and taller in the palm of this man.

The witch doctor said, “Can you see? Now demonstrate the power of your own God.” The missionary looked at him and memorised this scripture, which I think you should memorise. He said, “Hear the word of the Lord: There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. So I command your maize to catch fire.” And fire came upon his hand, and he started screaming. Soon, the fire spread to body, and they had to pour water on his body after his clothes had got burnt.

I am praying for somebody here: any power challenging God in your life, calling your prayer to question, asking you what you are gaining from prayer, with a tenfold amen, bury them now, in the name of Jesus.

Who is he that saith when the Lord has not commanded it? No matter how big a man is, he is dust and ashes. That is why the words “human” and “humus,” which refer to fertile soil, share the same root. Man’s true umblical cord is connected to the earth. All the minerals that make up a man’s body are all found in the earth.

No wonder at burials it is said “dust thou art, and unto dust, thou shalt return.” David asked a very powerful question about Goliath. He asked, “Who is this uncircumcised philistine? Where did he come from? And he is defying the armies of the living God?” David was not impressed at all with all the credentials of Goliath.

I am praying for somebody here: the Goliath, boasting against your destiny, shall be buried alive in the name of Jesus.

Why was David asking that question? It was because he understood what was written in the scriptures: “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?”

You call yourself a witch doctor; you are talking when the Lord has not commanded. You can talk to other people, but not God’s people. A pastor friend of mine was coming from Oyingbo the other day, and there was a serious traffic jam. The buses were not forthcoming. So, being a merciful man, he parked his vehicle and asked four passengers at the bus stop to enter.

One person sat down beside him, and three people sat at the back, and they were on their way. As they went on, people at the back started dropping off one after the other when they got to their respective destinations. It remained just the man beside him. Very soon, he noticed that the man beside him put his hand into his Agbada (garment) cloth and brought out a horn. He began incantations, but my friend kept driving. After his incantations, he said to my friend, “Park this car and give me the key.” My friend kept driving.

Then he said to the man, “My friend, we were discussing politics just now; why did you jump to incantation?” Then my friend parked and said to the man, “Get out of this car, and do not ever try this again. If not, you may not be kind enough to find a man of God who will not curse you.”

It is an insult for somebody to be making incantations and pronouncements against the children of God. There are five people in the Bible who have certain things in common:

1. Pharaoh.
Exodus 5:2 (KJV): “And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.”

2. Sennacherib.
Isaiah 36:18–21 (KJV): “Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand? But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.”

3. Nebuchadnezzar.
Daniel 3:15 (KJV): “Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?”

4. Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:8–11 (KJV): “And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.
When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.”
5. Herod.
Acts 12:21–23 (KJV): “And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”
These five people had one thing in common: they challenged the unchallengeable. They challenged the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. They spoke when the Lord had not spoken, and so their words backfired against them and put them to shame.

I am praying for somebody here: let the words of all your enemies backfire and put them to shame, in the name of Jesus.

No matter how big, how strong, or how powerful your oppressors may be, they are nothing when the Lord has not spoken. They are nothing when the Lord has not commanded. No matter what any doctor is saying, no matter what any lawyer is saying, no matter what any expert is saying, there is an overruling voice that overrules all voices. No matter how correct what that doctor or expert is saying, they have forgotten that there is an overruling voice that can cancel even what they have seen that is correct.

No matter how strong the oppressor may be, no matter how many people the oppressor has destroyed, no matter how many altars he has swallowed, no matter how many sacrifices they have made, they are nothing when the Lord has not spoken and when the Lord has not commanded.

So it really does not matter what the lawyer, judge, witch doctor, or herbalist is saying. The important thing is, “Has the Lord commanded this?” The Lord is an expert at preparing disgrace for the enemy.

That is why I know that there is somebody here this morning: that every power that wants to disgrace you shall be disgraced, in the name of Jesus. (A sevenfold amen.)

The Bible makes an outstanding statement in 2 Chronicles 32:7-8. It says, “Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles.”

Like the songwriter says, “the arm of flesh will fail you.” When people use the arm of flesh, they fail because, when the superior power of God comes against it, it collapses. All the boasting of Goliath was the boasting of the arm of the flesh. When the real power of God came, the arm of flesh failed.

Even on this planet, many claims have been made by human beings. But when these claims were challenged, they collapsed. Adolf Hitler once said, “I will capture Africa and turn it into a rubber plantation.” He never did.

There was a Jesus of Oyingbo in this country many years ago who said he was the Holy Spirit and would never die. In 1984, he died. The claims were challenged, and they collapsed. Only one person has made an unchallengeable claim. Jesus said in Matthew 28:16, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

It is only about Him that it is written, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” It is only about Him that it is written, “His name is far above every name that is to be named, whether in heaven above or on earth below.”

So Jesus is power personified. At His name, all other powers must bow. There is no power that can challenge this statement “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

So, beloveth, if you are serving God from your heart, any power challenging you is challenging the unchallengeable. Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” He did not say, “Power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” He did not say, “Power alone is given unto me.” That would mean that He can be overcome.

He did not say, “All power is given unto me in heaven alone.” That would mean that the earth is excluded. So no power or person fighting against a true child of God can ever progress. They would be ruined by the God of the Christians.

In human history, no power has ever risen against the gospel and progressed. One man named Emperor Nero fought against Christianity. He died a miserable death. Today, the gospel is alive and well.

There used to be a French man called Voltaire who boasted that he would devote all his energy to the destruction of every Bible in France. He died. Printing was invented. A Christian press bought his house, and Bibles were printed in that place.

Are there enemies who have declared that they do not want to see you around? They do not want you to prosper? Child of God, do not worry. They are challenging the unchallengeable.

Do you have enemies who have turned pursuing you into a full-time business? They are challenging the unchallengeable. Can you raise your right hand and, with a voice that is louder than anyone around you, shout:
Angels of war, my life is available; fight for me now, in the name of Jesus.

One trouble is this beloveth: many Christians stay too long in the past. They say things like, “It is because my father raped me at age 10, that is why I am not moving forward.” When you ask, “How old are you now?” They will say “35.” Then get out of it. You cannot ruin the whole of your life because of something that happened 25 years ago. You must make a quality decision.

It is better to die trying to get out of the dark room than to remain in that back room and die there. You must refuse to die in that back room.

You must decide, “I am getting out of this dustbin.” You must initiate the fight and turn the battles over to God. David challenged Goliath and turned him over to the One who cannot be challenged. Eijah decided to lock up heavens and kept the key in his pocket. So being a Christian does not give you an automatic victory. Victory comes when you identify your position in God and use all the tools of warfare that are available to you.

Many will be living a defeated life until they arrive at a situation like Esther saying, “If I perish, I perish. If I live, I live.”

That was what one sister did. She was having trouble conceiving. The parents were worried. They took her everywhere. They then took her to a native doctor, whom they said never failed. But the trouble with this native doctor was that he was a cripple. The man asked, “Do you want to have children?” The woman replied, “Yes.” Then he asked, “Are you ready to do what I ask you to do?” She replied yes, and he said, “I must sleep with you.” She said, “No, no, no.” She turned to her mom and said, “I want to go home.” The mother said, “Listen to the man; that was what your friend did.” She said, “No, I cannot.” The mother begged and cried.

The lady then made up her mind and said, “It is just going to be once.” She laid on the bed, and the man said, “Now, carry me to the bed.” She said, “So it is still me that will carry you? If I die, I die.” She then walked out of that place and into MFM in those days. She declared that enough is enough.

You have to challenge the trouble. Do not prefer to remain in bondage to any sickness, problem, or unfavourable situation. Decide, “I am getting out.” I remember the church in Makoko that I attended many years ago. There was a woman in that church who gave birth to a baby.

The baby was always sick and crying. She had spent all her money to look after this baby, but it was still sick. She sold her clothes, furniture, and everything, but the sickness persisted.

One day, she came to church and held the child and said, “Baby, hear the Word of the Lord: I am not spending one more kobo on you. If you want to die, die.” The baby did not die. The baby lived.

I am praying for somebody here today: Any power that is troubling your destiny shall be totally disgraced, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS.

1. Holy Ghost Fire, visit my father’s compound, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every wicked arrangement to make me a stranger in my land, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

3. Negative prayers, negative dreams, and negative visions, assigned against my life, die in the name of Jesus.

4. My Father, usher me into open doors of laughter, in the name of Jesus.

5. Great things that have never happened before in my lineage, manifest in my life, in the name of Jesus.

God bless you🙏
