Engineer Raji Kehinde a.k.a. AARAJ, has posited mechanized farming to cushion the effect of food scarcity in the State and encourage high agricultural productivity in the State and Nigeria in general.
This highly esteemed and undaunted people’s- person-AARAJ, made this known at the Media Parley organized by the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) on Saturday 4th May, in the State capital, Osogbo when he responded to a question fielded to him as to what he thinks could help Osun and her people able to put foods on the tables of the common –man in the street.
Engineer Kehinde Raji, the Founder of Aaraj Empowerment Foundation in his words says:’’Osun State is an agrarian State.’’ ‘’Osun can resort to mechanized farming to encourage farmers to plant and produce farm products in abundance for consumption and sales to the populace’’.
In his words,’’There is nothing bad if Osun should emulate other States enjoying mechanized farming in their domains.’’
‘’Osun State can liaise with other States of the Federation where those governments provide free lands and seedlings for the farmers’’.
According to Aaraj,’’In Kwara State, land were given free to farmers to practice agriculture, ditto, Zamfara State and many others.’’ ‘’In these places, farm seedlings and expanse lands were provided to help the farmers and their yields’’.
‘’Osun can go to see what they are doing in these States mentioned to boost agricultural production in their States just like the school feeding project of the Ex-governor Aregbesola’s administration’’,he said.
According to the chief Executive of Aaraj Empowerment Foundation (Aaraj),’’That school feeding project of Ogbeni Aregbesola has now become the bride in most of the States in Nigeria, including the Federal government’’. Osun can replicate the same thing in agricultural practices in the State, he opined.
OOPA Media Parley was streamlined life on the Facebook for public consumption and active participation , which really pulled huge responses from public domain .
The Guest of the moment at the Media Parley –Engineer Raji did not mince words as he gave a catalogue and impressive philanthropic empowerment he had extended to the down-trodden Osun people among which are:
”N150m to businessmen and women in Osun to assist them in their businesses during this economic meltdown aftermath of the removal of petroleum subsidy in the country.
Also, in his words” We have given out 20 to 30m to traders; last month we gave another , so that it can alleviate their sufferings as a support fund for their businesses. The same to fresh graduates in business , just to cushion the effect of the oil subsidy removal”,he said.
‘’Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary-Margaret Cousins.
In order to corroborate some of these philanthropic landmark empowerment that Engineer Raji had executed in Osun State and beyond, one Mr Olamilekan Akanbi have this to say via the FACEBOOK :
‘’Aaraj has recorded several landmark achievements both locally and internationally as a man of God’s substance and voice of the voiceless’’. ‘’Your selfless service to humanity , Osun People, and the Nation at large, as well as many achievements you have recorded in both personal and public life , for the aged, youths, students and the disabled people. These accomplishments have no doubt’’. In fact , you are indeed a reference point always for others to emulate’’ he wrote.
These pragmatic testimonies of one of he sons of the soil in Osun lend credence to what he himself said during the interactive session at the media parley-‘’I think of people, the Mekunnus(Indigents/down-trodden).
While the Media Parley lasted, the ebullient Philanthropist was agile to respond to any question put to him.
