Tragedy struck As Speedboat Carrying 14 Medical Student On Cruise Capsizes In Calabar
Three medical students have been confirmed dead after a speed boat capsized in the Calabar Channel on Saturday afternoon. Naija News learnt that medical students under the aegis of the Nigeria Medical Students Association (NIMSA) came from universities across the country to attend the NiMSA annual Health Week in Calabar.
Meanwhile,the Cross River State Governor,Basset You has ordered the immediate Suspension of all Cruise operations and other activities of Marina Resort in Calabar because of the unfortunate boatmishap of 24th June 2023.
14 medical students, 3 feared dead and eleven were rescued.
Investigation is ongoing as to the cause of the unfortunate accident.
