While speaking at the occasion, Hon. Speaker, Timothy Owoeye reiterated his conviction that Oyetola Adegboyega would soon claim back his mandate before July 5.
Hon. Owoeye recalled that the Supreme Court of July 5 2019, declared Oyetola as the winner of the 2018 governorship election in Osun. He said, that hopefully the Supreme Court will soon rule over the imbroglio before the 5th of July 2023 to bring Oyetola back on seat.

Owoeye debunked the speculations milling around that some All Progressives Congress in the House of Assembly have been decamping to the People’s Democratic Party(PDP).
According to Hon. Owoeye, ‘’none of the APC members in Osun House of Assembly will go. No vacancy in Osun Assembly , he said’’
‘’What they are saying is politics. APC members remain firm; nobody is going anywhere he affirmed.’’

‘’You should start from unit to unit, to canvass for votes. We should unite as one. Go and collect your PVC to vote and encourage others to vote for the All Progressives Congress Party(APC).
In her own Speech, Titi Laoye, the former deputy governor was also optimistic of the return of former Governor Oyetola to power in Osun. She asked the APC members not to lose their votes by voting for a wrong candidate in the coming February 25th Presidential election.
