Adeleke Celebrates Osun Children, Reaffirms Commitment To Their Welfare On Children’s Day

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has felicitated with children across Osun State and Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration, describing children as the hope, pride, and future of society.

In a statement issued by his Spokesperson, the Governor said Children’s Day serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to nurture, protect, and invest in the younger generation, noting that children remain the reason government must continue to work tirelessly for a better future.

Governor Adeleke described children as the foundation of tomorrow’s Osun State, stressing that every child deserves access to quality education, proper healthcare, protection, and equal opportunities to thrive regardless of background or social status.

The Governor noted that the dreams, talents, and aspirations of children are critical to the future growth and prosperity of the state, adding that every child, whether in public schools, private institutions, or government care homes, matters equally to his administration.

Governor Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies and programmes that support the welfare, growth, and development of children across Osun State, emphasizing ongoing efforts to improve access to quality education, safe learning environments, child welfare services, and better living conditions for young people.

According to the Governor, his administration remains focused on building an Osun State where children of all capacities can flourish, develop their talents, and pursue their aspirations without limitations.

He also called on parents, guardians, teachers, and religious leaders to continue to instill discipline, moral values, respect, and compassion in children, stressing that raising responsible children is a collective duty that must not be neglected.

Governor Adeleke warned against all forms of child abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence, noting that any society that fails to protect its children risks endangering its own future.

The Governor encouraged children across the state to celebrate responsibly, remain focused on their education, and continue to believe in their dreams and abilities.

“As we celebrate our children today, I assure every parent and child that our administration will leave no stone unturned in protecting and developing the future of our young ones. We are committed to building a government that is truly pro-people and pro-children,” the Governor stated.

He further urged citizens to continue to support initiatives and programmes aimed at improving the wellbeing of children and securing a brighter future for Osun State.

“Happy Children’s Day to all our children, the golden assets of our great society,” Governor Adeleke concluded.
