Today is another testament of Governor Adeleke’s administration commitment to the welfare of the people of Osun State as he officially commissioned three(3) Fire Trucks for the Osun State Fire Service. The event took place at the Fire Service premises in Abere, Osogbo.
In his speech,the governor said, he was deeply concerned by the bad state of Osun Fire Service facilities when he assumed office.
According Governor Adeleke, ,”the last procurement occurred over 14 years ago; a situation that was both alarming and unacceptable. I knew that immediate and strategic intervention was necessary,”he said.
In his stride to revive the moribund Osun State Fire Service, governor Adeleke have procured 7 modern fire trucks and one (1 ) Water tanker for emergency response.
“Today, I am proud to announce that this administration has taken a decisive steps to revive the Osun State Fire Service.”
“We have so far procured seven(7) modern fire trucks and one (1) water tanker to significantly boost our emergency response capacity”,he said.
“.In addition,governor Adeleke says,”we have supplied essential fire fighting equipment, including protective gears to ensure our brave officers are well equipped, well prepared and adequately protected in their line of duty .
TRAINING OF FIRE OFFICERS
The governor did not mince words when he said his government had also prioritise the training of fire officers for them to be able to respond to emergencies immediate despatch and efficiency.

“These assets will greatly improve the responsiveness and efficiency of the fire service and give Osun people peace of mind and renewed confidence in the system”.
MANAGEMENT AND REGULAR MAINTENANCE OF FIRE TRUCK
Governor Adeleke reiterates the importance of adequate management and maintenance of the fire trucks. That the trucks must be optimally kept to ensure their longevity and durability. He therefore,directs the Hon. Commissioner for Home Affairs and the Head of Osun State fire service to put in place a comprehensive maintenance schedule and accountability to be sure that the assets continue to serve the Osun people effectively without any hindrance.
Earlier in his address,Abdulrosheed Aderibigbe,Osun State Commissioner for Home Affairs, showered encomium on Governor Adeleke for his commitment to the welfare of the Osun citizens.
In his words”it is not an overstatement to conclude that this administration has made a remarkable milestone in the history of the State in various provision of infrastructures in all sectors”,he said.
Many notable dignitaries, Senior Civil Servants , PDP Chieftains , market women and media personalities,were at the event to grace the occasion.
