Urban 94.5FM, an Enugu-based radio station, has sounded the alarm after operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stormed its live broadcast on Monday, October 14th.

The station reported that the EFCC agents forcefully entered the studio at around 5:45 p.m., abducting presenters and seizing communication equipment during the raid.

In a statement released by the station, they apologized for the disruption, stating, “We are following up on the matter and will continue to update our listeners. We hope the issue will be resolved swiftly.”

Efforts to contact EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyedele for clarification were unsuccessful, as he had yet to respond to inquiries as of Tuesday morning.
