A Youth Corp Member trending on Social Media was spotted proposing to her boyfriend , a mechanic; but despite his meagre incomes sent her to further her studies in the university.
In appreciation,and in spite of all odds and oppositions from family and friends discouraging her, unperturbed, proposed to a man who really loves her and made her who she is today.
“Here is my boyfriend. He is a mechanic. we’ve dated for 5 yrs. Despite all the negative stories about ladies abandoning the man that sponsored them to school.
This guy here still stood by me even after all the negative advise from his friends & family.
He ignored, sold the land he inherited from his dad, added to his savings & send me back to school.
This man here, has been starving & managing & economizing the best way that he can, so that he can save up & send me upkeep money even when I was in school from the little earnings he gets from his work.
Today, I’m finally a graduate because of this same mechanic. Most of my family members & friends, who weren’t there for me when I needed them the most now advised me to leave him because, they think, we are no longer in the same class & also because, I’m now a graduate & richer men are and have been coming for me.
Today, I didn’t inform my man that I’ll be coming home. I decided to surprise him at the mechanic village were he works & propose to him. Money is not everything, I’m so proud & most happy when I’m with him.
