Protest Turns Haywire: Protesters set Government Property Ablaze in Kano

The nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests have taken a wrong direction,
with reports reaching The Interviews Nigeria that the protesters have set the gatehouse of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in Kano State ablaze.

This incident is a high tempo in the demonstrations, which have spread across some states in Nigeria.

In his X-angle,Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, also reinforced the ugly development.

According to Onanuga the protesters also looted furniture, bags of rice, mattresses, and the like.

Meanwhile,The Inspector General of Police(IGP) in his interactive forum with journalists in Abuja today said the Force have been put on ‘red alert’and would advise protesters to be reasonable with their protest and desist from untoward attitude inimical to the law of the land.

According to the IGP, even though, Nigerians have the right to protest lawfully as in the constitution but they also have the obligation to do it in accordance with the law without resulting to violence.

Other things being equal, tomorrow will tell if the protest will still continue.
